Dawn D’Amico, LMT
Originally licensed in New York State with over 19 years of practice; I also hold licensure in California, Colorado, and Arizona. I have enjoyed working in all aspects of massage therapy from volunteer work with the elderly and dying to medical and recovery massage for elite athletes. I hold a degree in Health Sciences from the renowned Swedish Institute in New York City as well as a B.A. in Biblical Studies from CCU. These two seeming dichotomies represent the yin and yang that is massage therapy as a profession and why I find it so fulfilling. As providers, we not only treat the body but also the spirit, which is notable in my work. Well versed in multiple modalities, each is incorporated into my massage session based on the client’s individual needs. I especially enjoy combining my education in Traditional Chinese Medicine with that of my western modalities; a typical treatment may have aspects of Shiatsu, Ayurveda, Reiki, Deep Tissue, PNF, and Trigger Point work all dispersed amongst a Swedish flow. My work is found to be unique, intuitive, intelligent, therapeutic, and effective -- with a grounding and nurturing hand.
